DoWork Impact Group was officially founded in April of 2020 as an attempt to leave a legacy of impact and purpose in our community. We believe that the world is only as good as we leave it. So it is our intention to use our platform to educate, empower, and encourage individuals, groups, and corporations in our surrounding areas and more. We strive to provide resources that lead to equitable opportunities for all members of the community.
Most of the members of DoWork Impact Group met each other for the first time in August 2012, when all seven were moving into their freshman dorms at Reinhardt University. In their collective time at Reinhardt, these seven young men naturally gravitated toward each other and matured together throughout the years.
Athletically, the group was instrumental in the establishment of RU's football program that experienced immediate success. This group was part of the inaugural class that collected two conference championships and more than 30 wins in their career. These men were more than athletes, as they were also student leaders on campus. A few guys held office with the Student Government Association; others founded a student organization to promote social inclusion and diversity on campus; and all the guys were known to volunteer their time as often as possible to multiple organizations and fundraisers during their postsecondary career. These young men also combine for eleven degrees ranging in various concentrations such as marketing, accounting, general business, sports management, and several master degrees.
Upon graduation, the group of friends wanted to find a way to leave their imprint on the world. They had been successful at leaving an impressive and impactful legacy at their alma mater, but wanted to expand their horizons. In November 2019, these seven friends decided to combine their talents, skills, and knowledge to become an asset to the communities they serve. When this group realized that the best kind of knowledge is shared knowledge, DoWork Impact Group was formed.
Darrell Arnold, Adrian Hayes, Christian Hill, Nick Johnson, Tevin McCoy, Calvin Robertson, and DeVante Wynn all come from different places and have different backgrounds but have one common mission: to educate, empower, and encourage each other and their community in various ways. Remember that if you don't work then you don't eat, so #DoWork!!
